First Rock Hill, SC House

This house in Rock Hill, SC, was the first of two flip houses I began working on in the spring of 2021.  The project was already underway by the time I came onboard, so I again dove in with resourcing and purchasing all the needed construction materials to finish the job.

I found the teal bathroom tile at a resale shop, but there wasn’t enough to cover the entire tub surround. By supplementing with the white tile, I was able to create this cool “racing stripe.”

Another design dilemma was the large expanse over the refrigerator, which didn’t have enough space for more cabinets. I instead found an inexpensive Ikea storage shelf that fit the space nicely when turned sideways.

And for the front door color, I took the teal bathroom tile into Sherwin-Williams and had them color matched it.
