Vance House

The Vance House was also located near Linville Falls, NC.  The house had been sitting empty for quite some time as was evidenced by the mold growing on all the cabinetry!  Yuck!  Needless to say, my first visit to the house was a quick one.

I was able to take note of the vibe of the house which, though, which felt kinda “campy” and vintage.

It did have a few foundation issues since a previous owner had built the primary bathroom on top of a deck!  But by fixing the foundation and reworking this bathroom, we were able to add a small room large enough for bunkbeds.

One of my greatest scores to date came in the form of an entire set of kitchen cabinets resourced at a Habitat Restore shop for $1000!  I think they look like they could have always been there all along
